To operate Pewsey and District Link properly and efficiently, it is necessary to collect and hold certain information from our volunteers and clients. This document sets out how we use and protect any information that you give us.

Pewsey Link is bound by law to ensure that your privacy is protected and the information that you provide by which you can be identified will only be used in accordance with this privacy statement.

We will hold the following details:

Clients. Contact details including address and telephone numbers. Additionally, details of journeys and destinations undertaken will also be held. Unless specifically required to assist a driver with transport, it is usually unnecessary to know personal and specific health conditions.

Volunteers. Contact details including address and telephone numbers and particulars and details of their transport.

You should be assured that Pewsey Link take the privacy of all those involved with the scheme very seriously and will only use your personal information for the purpose and benefit of the individuals concerned and of the scheme. All personal data is held securely.

General data but not individual information may be shared with partners to evaluate the success of this and similar schemes however an individual’s data will not be shared or sold to unrelated third parties. Unless otherwise instructed by you we will only retain your data in accordance with legal requirements.

Any individual involved with Pewsey Link may at any time:

  1. Ask to see what personal data we hold and how it is used:
  2. Ask that we correct any data that is incorrect.
